 | | | Miniature "Storm Catcher" Fetish Jars
Sacred Ways Miniature Fetish Jars come to us from artist Barbara Sebastian of San Francisco. "Clay Times" magazine says Barbara's work, "pays tribute to the place within all of us where we dream, create, and dance with the elements."
Barbara initially created these jars at the end of a long California drought to honor the natural elements associated with rain: water, lightening, and growth.
Each 4" jar is high-fired wheel thrown porcelain with a blue interior. Before the jars harden, she hand carves the decorative motif onto the surface. The lids are designed specifically for each jar using beads, shells, and other objects that work with the individual piece.
