Lakota 1880 Medium Parfleche Pouch
The pouch is stiff elk rawhide bordered with faded blanket wool trim and decorated with trade and clay paints. The braintan deerhide strap is highlighted by a dark blue ca 1900 Czech glass bead.
The colors are traditional Lakota muted shades of the 1880's. The painted crosshatch design center box symbolizes a camp, and the four red dots can represent either the 4 directions of the world or 4 seasons spent in one camp.
