Guna Lilies

The painting is symbolic of the three Guna's (Guna is a Sanskrit word meaning states of consciousness.)

The three Guna’s are: Sattwa Guna (Super-conscious) Raja Guna (Conscious) Tama Guna (Sub-conscious

Sattwa Lily stands tall and straight, centered and calm. Raja Lily is active and dancing in the world. Tama Lily is drooping, sad and not so aware.

Tama sheds a tear and, alas, cannot see her reflection and knows not who she is.

Raja can see herself, but not so clearly, for she's always on the move, but she's thinking and striving to figure life out.

Sattwa's reflection is clear and strong, just as she is, centered in the midst of life’s storms, intent on her purpose of realizing her true Self within.

These are high quality prints on acid free double mat paper. Image size is 8.5x14 inches. This watercolor print has been hand-signed by the artist.
